Opus, Pune: saturday is the new sunday, this week !!

Kingfisher ABandOnFriday with 'The Dragonette Project' live on 21st Aug, 8:30 pm onwards:
Guitars: Sanjay Joseph. Sanjay has been a member of some of Pune's most loved bands, including Ezee Meat and Airwave. He's ventured into the fiercely competitive world of the Mumbai music scene, and has performed with the best of the best, including Ranjit Barot and Karl Peters. He finds playing with The Dragonette Project a very welcome challenge, since the band plays mostly original music.
Drums: Nikhil Sohoni. Nikhil was one of Pune’s most versatile drummers, much sought after by bands for his expressive playing. He's comfortable with all forms of music, be it rock, fusion or jazz. He's presently based in the US, where he works as a software engineer. Nikhil will be heading back to the US after this gig.
Bass: Roger Dragonette. Roger has been performing since 1966. He was one of the founder members of the legendary Waterfront band from Mumbai. Most of the Dragonette Project's music is material that Roger wrote for Waterfront. "The songs are too good to just lie there in the head," he says modestly.
Rock? Funk? Fusion? Jazz? It's all of that, and more.

Saturday Jampot, 22nd Aug, 12.30 PM - 4.30 PM
Fabian and Jack, both familiar faces, in a rollicking set that you can either sing along to or dance to, depending on how many drinks you’ve had. Hosted by the schizophrenic Vivek Madan, enjoy the afternoon with Anuj’s special Brunch Buffet. And end the day with the DJ Frankie spinning some funky groovey dance tunes 8:30 pm onwards!!
